WHO WE ARE?
Inventure was founded in 2005 after Sami Lampinen and Timo Tirkkonen decided to build up their own start-up company: A dynamic venture capital partnership fully focusing on early stage technology companies. We support the entrepreneurs of our portfolio companies in close collaboration and bring the expertise and network of our team to the companies.
Inventure is fully owned by the management team and the chairman.

Sami is the Managing Director of Inventure, which he founded in 2005. At Inventure, Sami leads the investments in Canatu, Freespee, Silex Microsystems,Thinglink, Whitevector, and Upstream. Prior to Inventure, Sami held the Partner position in the technology team of CapMan, and worked as a management consultant at SIAR-Bossard/Gemini Consulting.

Timo focuses on the investment strategy and portfolio value creation. Timo’s is actively involved in crafting the product and partnership strategies of our portfolio companies. Timo is managing the investments in Beneq, Fastrax, IPTune, Scannano, Protie, Rightware. Before, Timo acted as a private investor with Innocap Oy. Tuomas is responsible for the coordination of investment operations including fund management and finances. Tuomas is also actively involved in creating value in the portfolio companies, and manages the investments in the portfolio companies Conmio, IPTune, Rightware, Thinglink, and Whitevector. Arve works with deal-flow generation and leads the value creation in the portfolio companies Canatu, Conmio, Merus, Protie and Scannano. He is also actively pursuing add-on investment projects together with both local and international venture capital funds. Arve advises the boards of Inventure's portfolio companies on their sales and marketing drawing on valuable experience gained during his previous employments at Sitra, Planmeca, and Metorex. |

Fei runs Inventure’s operations in China. Based in Shanghai, he supports Inventure’s portfolio companies with market entry strategies in Asia, fundraising projects, and sourcing. Before joining Inventure, Fei has worked with Intel, Grace Semiconductor, and ATMI. He holds a PhD from Penn State University, and an MSc from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai. Hannu Vaajoensuu is a well-known IT entrepreneur in Finland and a key person in the success story of Basware Oyj, a listed software company. Since 2004 Mr Vaajoensuu is Chairman of Basware Oyj, after heading the company as CEO from 1999 to 2004. He is also vice chairman of the Board of Directors of Comptel Oyj, and chairman of the Board of Directors of Efecte Oy and Profit Software Oy. |
Pertti Ervi is an independent consultant and investor. He is a member of the Board of three stock listed technology companies: F-Secure Oyj, Ixonos Oyj and Teleste Oyj. Ervi also works with growth companies within the technology field. He is the chairman of the board of Digium Oy and Nevtor Oy and a board member of Forte Netservices Oy and Efecte Oy. |
